These terms cover Spotlight (seo.cavilconsult.com), its Fix Center and the Spotlight Fixer WordPress plugin, all provided by Cavil Consult. By using them you agree to these terms. Questions: digital@cavilconsult.com.

The free check and Fix Center

The website check, reports and Fix Center are free to use. They are provided as they are: we work hard to make them accurate, but we can't promise every result is right for every site, and no fix guarantees a particular position in Google or any other search engine.

Changes to your website

• Only check, fix or connect websites you own or have permission to change.
• When you connect the Spotlight Fixer plugin and press a fix button, you are asking us to make that change. Each change can be undone from the Fix Center or from Settings > Spotlight Fixer in WordPress.
• Keep a backup of your site before making changes. Keep your connection key private, and make a new one if it may have been seen.

Paid services

• Packages and prices are listed on the Pricing page in US dollars. Payments are taken by Stripe.
• We'll contact you within one business day of payment to confirm the work and any access we need.
• Monthly plans renew each month until you cancel. You can cancel at any time and you won't be charged again.
• If we haven't started work, you can ask for a full refund within 14 days. Once work has started, we'll refund any part we haven't delivered.

Acceptable use

Don't use Spotlight to overload, attack or scrape websites, or to get around our limits. We may block use that harms other people or our service.

Liability

To the extent the law allows, Cavil Consult isn't responsible for lost profits or indirect losses from using Spotlight, and our total responsibility for a paid service is limited to what you paid for it.

Changes

We may update these terms. The date at the top shows the latest version.
